Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Plant Industry Inspection Technician in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania

DESCRIPTION OF WORK In this role, you will perform inspections of businesses to ensure that they are following State and Federal regulations and provide compliance assistance to aid establishments such as wholesale and retail businesses in proper permits, recordkeeping, and training for Spotted Lanternfly rules and regulations. You will also present results of compliance and enforcement activities in reports to supervisor as well as compliance information to industry groups.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. This position will be home headquartered if applicant lives in Berks, Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Lehigh, Montgomery, Northampton, or Philadelphia counties. Applicant will be required to report to 1862 Tollgate Rd, Palm PA 18070 for non-inspection/office work. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.   REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

A bachelor's degree in the agricultural or biological sciences, which includes 3 credits in chemistry, 3 credits in plant science, and 3 credits in animal science; or An equivalent combination of experience and training which includes 3 credits in chemistry, 3 credits in plant science, and 3 credits in animal science. Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.

Special Requirement: This position requires possession of a valid motor vehicle operator's Class C Driver's License.
