DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Maintenance Repairman 2, you will perform duties such as general maintenance, carpentry, electrical, blueprints, schematics, diagrams, painting, flooring, and plumbing all while ensuring safety.  You will participate in the design and subsequent construction and finishing of a variety of custom furniture, cabinets, display cases, product shelving, and related items for use in stores, or in various offices throughout the agency.  Utilize your experience to provide valuable project input into material choices that best apply to the project's needs relating to fit and finish, durability, weight, and application.  You will also provide input surrounding the sequencing of construction events, as well as input regarding estimates for time and materials needed for the completion of each assigned project.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Salary:The starting salary for this position for new Commonwealth employees is fixed at the minimum salary listed above and is notnegotiable. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1; or Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.

Special Requirements: You must possess a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License.

Legal Requirements: You must pass a background investigation.  An applicant with a felony conviction within the last ten years of their prospective date of employment is not permitted to work for the PLCB, per section 210(c) of the Pennsylvania Liquor Code.  Other criminal convictions will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
