If so, the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB), Bureau of Licensing Evaluation Division has the perfect job for you! As a LCB Licensing Specialist, you will have the opportunity to review and process routine, advanced, and complex liquor license and permit applications in support of the licensing program administered by the PLCB. DESCRIPTION OF WORK As a Licensing Specialist, you will be responsible for examining, analyzing, and evaluating licenses, permits, and supporting documents to determine correct execution, eligibility, and subsequent approval or denial of applications. Work includes reviewing and determining acceptability of legal documents, such as management agreements, agreements of sale, partnership agreements, leases, court orders, franchise agreements, IRS seizures, bankruptcy orders, and opinions, liens, and writs. You will have the opportunity to conduct advanced and complex regulatory review of the most difficult license or permit application transactions. Typical examples of work include new licenses, person to person transfers, double transfers. and management companies.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) full-time, with the exception of reporting to the Northwest Office Building on board meetings dates once every two to three weeks, and as operational needs dictate. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters Northwest Office Building in Harrisburg. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Two years of experience as an LCB Licensing Technician 2; or Five years of clerical, administrative, or para-professional experience supporting a legal, licensing, or other regulatory program requiring the application of statutes, program policies, and industry regulations, and graduation from high school; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Legal Requirements: You must pass a background investigation.  An applicant with a felony conviction within the last ten years of their prospective date of employment is not permitted to work for the PLCB, per section 210(c) of the Pennsylvania Liquor Code. Other criminal convictions will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
