DESCRIPTION OF WORK In this role, you will coordinate federal grants and support the budget preparation for the department throughout all stages of the budget process, which includes state, federal, and special funds. Your responsibilities will encompass budget submission, legislative defense, re-budgeting, and ongoing budgetary monitoring. You will be tasked with managing the year-end closing process for assigned federal grants, ensuring that all documentation is routinely monitored. Additionally, you will prepare documents for expenditure adjustments and facilitate the liquidation of encumbered balances. Your position requires a keen attention to detail and the ability to navigate complex financial processes, ensuring compliance and accuracy in all budgetary matters related to federal grants.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year as a Fiscal Management Specialist 2; or Two years of experience in professional fiscal administration, and a bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, economics, or a related field; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
