DESCRIPTION OF WORK As a Database Administrator 2, you will have the opportunity to serve as a lead worker on the Enterprise Database team where you will be responsible for administering the SQL Server databases hosted in the Enterprise Data Center and in the cloud. The focus of the position is to ensure data security, recoverability, and performance. In this role, you will go beyond the core mission by defining standards, exploring new features, alternatives DBMS platforms, developing methods to capture, and report on database metrics among many others. As a team leader, this position is responsible for employee growth and fostering collaboration among team members.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) full-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year as a Database Administrator 1; or Six years of information technology experience that includes three years in the analysis, design, and maintenance of databases in overall support of database administration; or Four years of information technology experience that includes three years in the analysis, design, and maintenance of databases in overall support of database administration, and an associate's degree in any information technology field; or Two years of information technology experience in the analysis, design, and maintenance of databases in overall support of database administration, and a bachelor's degree in any information technology field; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
