* Position Overview*

The Customer Information Representative is responsible for verifying set up and completing changes to all customer information records and deposit accounts on the Core System including but not limited to: data entry, account coding, verification and documentation.  This individual will follow guidelines as established by state laws and Professional Bank Services Deposit Documentation Guidelines. In addition, the Information Processing Specialist will consistently research and develop knowledge of core processing functionality.   This individual is responsible for development, preparation, execution and follow-through to tracking mechanisms for missing, incomplete or inaccurate information which includes evaluation, revision and process implementation planning.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Completes set up and makes revisions to all types of accounts, e.g., DDA, savings, certificates of deposit, IRA's, etc.; verifies information and makes certain that accounts are properly established, coded and documented.
  • Responsible for return mail research and maintenance.
  • Redesigns and regularly reviews all internal maintenance forms for ease of use and for processing functionality.  Reviews all forms for accuracy and completion.
  • Maintains various account records and miscellaneous information.
  • Facilitates and participates in various training initiatives.
  • Offers ideas and suggestions to expedite processes and provide positive impact changes.
  • Responsible for verification of customer information, creation and maintenance of customer information records within CIP guidelines.   Verification of other departmental system maintenance.
  • Follows all policies and procedures including adherence to CIP and Red Flag identity theft.
  • Files deposit account information; ensures that all customer information is secure.
  • Regularly investigates changes to rules and regulations involving customer information records and deposit accounts.  Works with other department personnel to appropriately train and efficiently implement required changes.
  • Develops and enhances maintenance procedure and policies.
  • Offers suggestions and takes ownership of; forms consolidation, revisions and efficiency enhancements.
  • Writes and updates all retail user guides for the maintenance function.
  • Offers guidance and support to branch personnel relating to deposit accounts utilizing consistent guidelines and established procedures.
  • May research deposit account information; may process inquiries from customer service personnel and other departments.
  • Effectively communicates with management and employees regarding unusual circumstances that may occur and works with a team of individuals to resolve issues and accomplish goals.

* Education & Qualifications*

  • A high school diploma and minimum of two (2) years' experience working with a variety of deposit account documents; a strong understanding of ownership and titling standards; account opening processes; a count revisions and documentation requirements. 
  • Minimum of two (2) years in a deposit operations support role including but not limited to: account titling, coding, deposit rates and indexes including a working knowledge of deposit account products and associated rules and regulations.    

Skill(s)

Moderate reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills; strong analytical ability; good interpersonal relations and communicative skills; good typing, computer skills including office suite; excel; proficient manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination; ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach with hands or arms, use hands to manipulate objects, handle or feel, and lift items weighing 20 lbs. or less; visual, auditory and speaking skills.
