Reference #: 4572084 THE POSITION The Department of Health is looking for a highly motivated individual with an attention for detail.  We have an opening for a Clerical Assistant 2 within the Bureau of Health Statistics and Registries, Division of Statistical Registries.  If you have clerical experience, this may be the position for you.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK The Clerical Assistant 2 performs specialized clerical work for the Vital Events Registry in relation to processing birth certificates using the web-based eVitals system and complying with standards set forth by the National Center for Health Statistics.

Specialized clerical work includes but is not limited to; data entry on a variety of vital events,, scanning relevant birth registration or amendment documentation, prints and mail birth registration and amendment correspondence.

The person in this position assembles data about the type and amount of work performed, and completes daily production reports.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Limited-term full-time wage position with benefits (Bronze Plan). Work hours are 8:00am to 4:30pm, Monday - Friday, with a 1-hour lunch. Duration of employment is approximately six months with possible extension for an additional 6 months. Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $35,306 (before taxes). Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.   REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (commonwealth title); or Graduation from high school; or An equivalent combination of experience and training. Other Requirement: You must be able to perform essential job functions.
