Reference #: 4684166 THE POSITION The Department of Health has a vacancy in the Bureau of Emergency Preparedness and Response (BEPR), Division of Finance and Administration.  This position provides clerical support to promote the organizations mission of leading the Commonwealth in preparing for, responding to, and recovering from the public health and medical consequences of emergencies and disasters.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK As a Clerical Assistant 2 in this position, you will serve as the lead receptionist for visitors and callers and direct them appropriately.  You will assist with supply and procurement needs, timekeeping, and creating correspondence and other documents. Other duties include providing support to the BEPR Training Program by assisting with the management of continuing education credits, performing automotive coordinator responsibilities, and assisting with the Bureau's SharePoint site.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full time employment. Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Free on-site parking. The Department of Human Services provides excellent benefits, contractual pay increases, paid holidays and leave entitlements, opportunity for advancement and shift selection in addition to a great work environment. Telework:  You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time after completion of training period.  In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $35,306 (before taxes). Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.   REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (commonwealth title); or Graduation from high school; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
