The Department of Transportation is seeking a Civil Engineer Consultant to join our Contract Management Division. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Negotiations Engineer (Civil Engineer Consultant), you will be administering the contract management process for engineering agreements within Engineering District 3-0, District 11-0, the Pennsylvania Turnpike, and central office areas as needed. Work includes analyzing project price proposals submitted by consultants, preparing paper and electronic Engineering Agreements, and evaluating requests for Supplemental agreements. Additionally, you will be responsible for reviewing and recommending approval for consultants selected by local municipalities to perform work under a Third-Party Federal Aid Agreement. Effective communication is key as you will be assisting customers in the interpretation and application of related consultant policies.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. AWS (alternate work schedule) may be available. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Four years of professional civil engineering experience which includes three years in the appropriate specialty. Special Requirements: Possession of a valid Professional Engineer license issued by the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists. Conditions of Employment: This position requires possession of a valid driver's license. Post Employment Requirement: For the Bridges and Transportation parentheticals, successful candidates with an out of state Professional Engineer license will be required to produce a valid Professional Engineer license issued by Pennsylvania within their initial six month probationary period. Other Requirements: PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title. You must be able to perform essential job functions.
