DESCRIPTION OF WORK

A Career and Technical Education Advisor 1 provides statewide leadership and technical assistance to support the achievement of technical standards in Career and Technical Education as related to programs of study, statewide articulation and credit transfer, nurse aide training programs, adult accreditation, and related training programs through the involvement of business and educational partnerships. This position will participate in the bureau's annual Integrated Learning Conference and Strategies conference, and utilize databases (CATS, PIMS, AcademyOne) to support the development, maintenance, and implementation of quality career and technical education practices.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. You must report to the office (607 South Drive, Harrisburg) every Monday. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Four years of professional experience in the field of career and technical education, including one year of experience in the development and implementation of career and technical education curricula or programs; or An equivalent combination of experience and training. Other Requirements: This particular position also requires applicants to possess a minimum of two years of full-time professional career and technical education experience in a 9-12 or postsecondary environment. is currently waived for this title.
