The Role
As an Account Director II – UCC Sales, your primary objective of this sales position is to act as a communications sales consultant. Your charter is to apply consultative selling skills to help customers assess their current state communications platforms and to guide customers in their selection of future state platforms. You must be skilled in Voice, VOIP, Unified Communications and Collaboration (UCC)/Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS), and Contact Center/Contact Center as a Service (CCaaS) solutioning. Desired result is closed sales of future state solutions and platforms that keep Lumen’s value relevant to our customers’ needs. Key function is establishing meaningful customer journey conversations and relationships with the appropriate customer personas in your assigned module with this purpose in mind.
The Main Responsibilities
Sell transformational solutions associated with Voice, VOIP, Unified Communications and Collaboration (UCC)/Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS), and Contact Center/Contact Center as a Service (CCaaS). Develop and maintain relationships from the operational through the ‘C’ level in pursuit of helping customers navigate their future state of communications journey. Accountable for meeting and/or exceeding assigned sales objectives and quotas within a designated module and/or territory. Provide superior technology and solution knowledge on a day-to-day basis. Build and maintain accurate and up to date strategic account plans associated with sales opportunities. Partner with Lumen customer success, account managers and customers through a strategic and consultative sales approach to understand their business needs, issues, strategies and priorities to deliver a value-added communications solution. Utilize designated sales-related systems to share and forecast progress towards Lumen’s goals specific to your module and efforts, including but not limited to managing sales funnel to represent, analyze and manage pipeline activity and monitor sales activity against assigned quotas.
What We Look For in a Candidate
Minimum of 8+ years of experience in selling complex unified communications and collaboration (UCC) and Contact Center solutions to large enterprise businesses. Demonstrated success in applying consultative selling techniques to opportunities. Proven and verifiable track record in exceeding sales quotas. Strong communication skills and presence in communicating with Executives. Technical sales certifications (Zoom, Genesys, etc.) Consultative or solutions selling training (Miller Heiman, Sandler, etc.) Demonstrated level of success in the development of high-level client relationships Demonstrated experience selling a combination of the following strongly preferred: Voice, VOIP, Unified Communications and Collaboration (UCC)/Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS), and Contact Center/Contact Center as a Service (CCaaS). Self-driven in pursuit of knowledge, product/solution nuances, and design options. Must be self-motivated and self-disciplined and provide prompt follow-up to all customer inquiries. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills and be able to present in both small and large group settings. Must have ability to craft a thoughtful financial analysis and case to customers to help support their decision. Must have a polished, professional presentation. Must be able to keep organized, accurate records on daily activities and results. Strong organizational skills imperative. Acquire and integrate industry knowledge related to general trends, emerging technologies, and competitors.
Compensation
This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.
Location Based Pay Ranges:
$119,900.00 - $159,863.00 in these states: AL, AR, AZ, FL, GA, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, ME, MO, MS, MT, ND, NE, NM, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, UT, VT, WI, WV, and WY.
$125,906.00 - $167,864.00 in these states: CO, HI, MI, MN, NC, NH, NV, OR, and RI.
$131,891.00 - $175,854.00 in these states: AK, CA, CT, DC, DE, IL, MA, MD, NJ, NY, TX, VA, and WA.
