Location: Harlow - hybrid working (3 days at Harlow)

Summary of Role:

Raytheon are looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to support our Business Areas. Reporting to the Quality Manager this role shall be responsible for delivering Quality Assurance in line with the Quality Management System and Quality Policy across the several programs within the business. The QA Engineer shall also be integrated and aligned to the respective program team(s).

Working as part of the QA Team, conducting day to day Quality Assurance activities whilst engaging with key stakeholders across the organisation.

Main Duties:

Ensure the Quality Management System processes and process control documentation are compliant with requirements, objectives and/or contracts.

Plan, conduct and oversee Internal Audits to support Raytheon’s Certifications. Key player and representative during External audits

Help the PM, Engineering & Manufacturing teams define requirements for new products from a compliance perspective.

Lead Quality Working Groups to diagnose and mitigate product non-conformities identified internally and externally. Drive RCCA and Non-Conformance Management to conclusion.

Providing advice to the Business Area Lead and all Program Managers on the quality aspects of the work being undertaken. Understanding the Product Development Lifecycles to provide key Quality inputs during the different stages

Quality support to the technical design organization and program reviews.

Ensuring compliance with QMS standards, identifying issues, recommending solutions, and creating quality documentation

Perform the quality activities within the Programs in support of the Design activities, respective Quality Assurance Plans i.e. First Article Inspections, Source Inspections, support checks on incoming and outgoing products i.e. Certificates of Conformance.

Customer liaison on any External Customer quality audits or meetings.

Perform and Manage Internal process audits across any business function with the larger UK QA team

Concession management

Candidate Requirements:

Writing and reviewing Quality Plans, reports and customer documentation.

Developing and maintaining sound, productive relationships with colleagues and stakeholders

Effective problem solving and multi-tasking to ensure the programs can meet their needs whilst still achieving the agreed quality requirements.

Proactive approach to risk reduction to prevent & resolve issues and remove non-value add processes

Experience performing audits of products and processes within a program or business according to ISO Standards. Knowledge of RCCA Toolsets and techniques.

Communicating with internal and external stakeholders at multiple levels as well as technical SMEs.

Coaching and guiding other team members and stakeholders in the needs of the business from a QA perspective.

Essential Knowledge/Experience

Flexible and positive attitude. Team Player.

Experience of problem solving and resolution. Effective and concise presentation skills

Experience of Quality Assurance, Internal Auditing and RCCA (Root Cause Corrective Action) methodologies

Stakeholder Management.

Management and estimation of project budgets, QA time & finances

Process Improvement, flows, mapping and streamlining

Excellent verbal and written communication skills at all business levels.

To complete a baseline check and also complete SC Clearance for the role

Desirable:

ISO Auditor Trained (Internal) or Knowledge of Standards ISO9001 and/or AS9100

Experience within Manufacturing and/or Quality Engineering Organisation

Ability to review & interpret technical drawings and/or test

Earned Value Management Systems

Effective facilitation skills

The work will be based out of our Harlow Site with possible national travel requirements.
