Salary: $25/hour

Length of Assignment: Approximately 1 year

Schedule: 8:00am - 5:00pm M-F however some flex hours may be required.

What’s a typical day as an Environmental Health & Safety Manager? You’ll be:

• Directing site-specific safety and environmental activities, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements.

• Providing leadership and mentorship to the Root Cause Analysis incident analysis process.

• Leading the development and execution of the annual Site Safety Plan.

• Driving environmental strategy to lead site sustainability efforts.

• Supporting team-based safety and environmental steering teams and promoting a culture of inclusion.

• Managing workers compensation claims and ensuring compliance with reporting and documentation requirements.

• Providing new hire orientation and ensuring all annual compliance training occurs.

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

• Have a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health Safety, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or a related science field preferred, or equivalent work experience.

• Have a minimum of 10 years of environmental, health, and safety experience in a manufacturing environment.

• Have a thorough working knowledge of Federal, State, and local environmental and safety requirements.

• Have an understanding of engagement-based Safety Management Systems.

• Have outstanding verbal, written, multi-tasking, and presentation skills.

• Are highly motivated and can influence the culture.

• Are bilingual (Spanish) - a plus.

• Have the ability to travel occasionally.

• Have a high level of interpersonal, coaching, and leadership skills.

• Are proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

• Have a valid U.S. driver's license.

• Possess or have the ability to earn RSO certification.

• Possess or plan to earn professional safety/environmental certifications (CSP, SMS, CEP, CIH, CHMM, etc.).
