Robert Half QA Test Engineer in Hanover, Maryland

Description We are offering a contract employment opportunity for a Quality Assurance Analyst role in Hanover, Maryland. This role is essential to our Information Technology Team, where you will be working and supporting our business operations. The ideal candidate will have a significant role in leveraging technology to solve business problems and will participate in all phases of the development process.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, develop, test, and document computer programs while applying knowledge of programming techniques and computer systems.

• Evaluate user requests for new or modified programs to determine feasibility, cost, time required, compatibility with current systems, and computer capabilities.

• Formulate plans outlining steps required to develop programs using structured analysis and design.

• Prepare flowcharts and diagrams to illustrate the sequence of steps a program must follow and describe the logical operations involved.

• Capture and create test scenarios for various software updates, complete with test conditions for each scenario.

• Convert project specifications into a sequence of detailed acceptance criteria and logical steps for testing functionality, data completeness, and accuracy, and then automate these test cases and conditions in various tools.

• Review and maintain an automated test suite and integrate these test cases into a CI/CD pipeline for automated testing.

• Engage in defect creation, management, coordination with the development team, and re-testing.

• Use Automated test engineering tools such as Selenium, Serenity, Cypress, Worksoft, Node.js, TestNG, Maven, etc.

• Use API testing tools such as Postman, SOAP UI, etc.

• Apply performance testing processes and tools such as Jmeter etc.

• Use continuous integration tools like Jenkins, Github, Azure DevOps, etc.

• Design and create automation frameworks using Java, typescript, JavaScript, Selenium, Cypress, Serenity, JMeter, Appium, Protractor, Jasmine, mocha.

• Prepare Test Strategies, Test Plans, and Test Summary Reports for Functional Integration, Regression, User Acceptance, Stress, and Performance web service testing, and mobile testing. Requirements • Must have a strong understanding of Quality Assurance (QA) methodologies.

• Demonstrated experience in QA - Quality Assurance is required.

• Proficiency in JavaScript, SQL, HTML, and Java is essential.

• Experience with GitHub and REST API is necessary.

• Knowledge of Oracle and Integration processes is a must.

• Familiarity with Agile Scrum methodology is required.

• Experience in Automation and Engineering is necessary.

• Proficiency in Documentation, Training, and Operations is required.

• Strong planning and organizing skills are essential.

• Understanding of Planning Processes and Quality measures is needed.

• Experience with Design, About Time, and Websites is required.

• Must have the ability to understand and create specifications for various projects.

• Knowledge of computer systems is necessary.
