As our new Process Engineer - Coating and Formulation you will have the opportunity to drive and shape the product portfolio in a newly established business segment within the growing field of hydrogen technologies.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• You will have overall technical responsibility for the process of manufacturing catalyst-coated membranes (CCM). You will also manage the transfer of the CCM manufacturing process to our production facility, including the installation and start-up of our newly acquired production assets.

• Likewise, you will work with our R&D and production teams as well as suppliers to ensure that production facilities are commissioned at our production site and the process is established in accordance with EHS and quality standards.

• You take responsible for creating the required SOPs and the adequate staffing and training of the production team in coordination with our 3rd party production partner.

• You will manage the ramp up process to meet the required capacity according to market demand.

• You, together with the marketing and strategy teams, will closely interact with our suppliers and partners to ensure that we deliver a product that meets customer specifications.

OUR REQUIREMENTS

• Master’s degree or PhD ideally in material science, engineering, or chemistry.

• A minimum of 5 years professional experience in the field of technology or production for coated products, ideally for energy applications, preferably with an OEM or tier 1 supplier. You have strong experience with production processes, including formulation and roll to roll coating technologies, strict quality requirements and a solid understanding of KPIs.

• You put customer needs at the center of the development process and, thanks to your excellent communication and social skills, you can build strong networks and get involved in international teams and cultures.

• You are adept in the management of projects to meet technical and budget milestones.

• Knowledge of German language and regular presence in our Mainz facility are a must, as frequent communication with local production teams is required.
