Job Summary

The Corporate Program Engineer (CPE) will be responsible for assigned Program(s) listed in job responsibility below.

The CPE is responsible for maintaining Governance and oversight of the assigned Program(s) for the Salem and Hope Creek Stations. Program engineering positions require maintaining Programs to meet regulatory requirements, industry excellence standards and provide industry leadership. The Program engineer performs monitoring, trending, and assessing respective Program to improve reliability and ensure that Salem and Hope Creek stations are meeting regulatory and industry best practices. They may Perform and support Program assessments, outage work scoping, Program related technical evaluations, trouble shooting and special Programmatic inspections by regulators, on site groups and industry peers. Tasks include maintaining necessary Program documentation, Program health reports, Program notebooks, and Program related procedures ensuring Program compliance with regulatory and design/license basis requirements. Support Emergency Preparedness Plan and the Engineering Duty Team.

This is a hybrid position which requires candidates to live within 70 minutes of the work location or be willing to relocate to be within 70 minutes.

Job Responsibilities

Act as:

  • The Primary Program Owner for the Salem Alloy 600 Management Program

  • The Salem Flux Thimble Aging Management Program

  • The Salem Bolting Integrity Program

  • The Salem, and Hope Creek Reactor Vessel Integrity Programs (P-T Limit Curves)

  • The Salem and Hope Creek Metal Fatigue and Cycle Counting Programs.

  • Qualify and provide back-up program management for the Salem Steam Generator Program, Hope Creek IVVI Program, and the Corporate NEI 03-08 and License Renewal programs.

Responsibilities include:

  • Management of the Salem WESTEMS® Fatigue Management software and Hope Creek FatiguePro© Fatigue Management software.

  • Maintain Time-Limited Aging Analyses (TLAAs) for Salem and Hope Creek.

  • Alternate NEIL Engineering Advisory Committee (EAC) member.

Job Specific Qualifications

Required:

  • BS degree in Engineering, Science or Technology.

  • Minimum of 15 years experience directly related to mechanical, electrical/I&C component management, maintenance, and/or technical support.

  • Excellent written & oral communication skillsAbility to support shift work during plant outages and emergent situations.Ability to meet nuclear requirements for Unescorted Site Access and access industrial areas of a nuclear power.

Desired:

  • Nuclear Programs Experience - IST, ISI, Thermal Performance, Fire Protection

  • Firm understanding of nuclear plant systems integration such as System, Program or Design Engineering, or other nuclear station functional experience.

  • Familiar with NEI 03-08- and 10-years’ experience in programs engineering in the area listed in job description / responsibility above.
