Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Production Worker for the Wax Cell Operator role in our IGT Department. This position involves operating computer equipment and precision measuring instruments, performing various assembly tasks, and maintaining a clean work environment.

Responsibilities

• Lift various items intermittently, with assistance provided for weights exceeding 35 pounds.

• Operate computer equipment and precision measuring instruments.

• Sit in swivel, padded, and adjustable chairs.

• Squat/crouch to retrieve stored items from lower shelves and file cabinets, and to make equipment/product inspections.

• Stand intermittently.

• Clean work areas and maintain a clean work environment; perform 5S cleaning activities as required.

• Assemble wax patterns using various skills.

• Refer to work instructions, identification, and machine stock areas to prevent under or over working patterns.

• Hand stock patterns to engineering instructions and effectively communicate information to the team and engineering.

• Communicate scrap to injection.

• Apply cast raised numbers.

• Perform Apply, Rub Down, and Final Assembly processes.

• Apply wax to acceptable Product Criteria limits.

• Maintain proper radius on all wax joints.

• Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

• High School diploma or GED equivalency.

• Ability to demonstrate 2 years of continuous work experience OR 6 months of manufacturing experience.

• Ability to read and interpret written instructions.

• Ability to follow verbal directions and instructions.

• Ability to work with hands on delicate materials.

• Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in general production or machine operation.

• Training experience in a similar role.

• General labor experience.

• Willingness to work overtime as needed.

This role is based in a large manufacturing facility with 500 employees. The work environment includes heavy industrial areas with hot conditions due to machinery. Safety and cleanliness are prioritized, with regular 5S cleaning activities required.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Hampton, Virginia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40500.00 - $45000.00/yr.
