ManpowerGroup Facility Engineer in Hampshire, Illinois
Our client is seeking a Facility Electrical Engineer to join their team. As an EE, you will be responsible for supporting and maintaining the electrical infrastructures across a datacenter campus, ensuring the smooth operation of critical systems and be involved in electrical maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure data center uptime.
Job Title: CE Facility Support Engineer
Location: Hoffman Estates
Contract Length: Up to 18 Months
Pay Range: $40hr - $46/hr
Shift schedule : 1st shift, Sunday through Tuesday, and every other Wednesday night shift.
Key Responsibilities include:
Perform Remote Power Panel (RPP) shutdown of one source while ensuring critical load is still supplied.
Carry out PDU shutdowns for power meter replacements and assist with Power Interruption Testing (PIT).
Manage shutdowns or replacements of master controllers.
Monitor and maintain building management systems (EPMS) across facilities.
Adhere to the National Electrical Code and ensure compliance with electrical safety standards.
What’s Needed?
5+ years of work/applied learning experience in technical fields (e.g., automotive, electrical, controls, data center).
OSHA or OSHA-approved NFPA 70E Certification is required.
Experience with electrical systems in high-availability environments such as data centers, hospitals, or manufacturing.
Basic understanding of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word).
Ability to work flexible shifts, including 12-hour shifts, rotating shifts, and varying work weeks.
