About Us: At IPSC, we take pride in our commitment to safety and efficiency. Our 24/7 Central Dispatch Station plays a crucial role in ensuring seamless operations around the clock. We provide top-notch service and are looking for individuals who share our passion.

IPSC is currently seeking proactive, tech-savvy individuals to join our elite team at the 24/7 Corporate Dispatch Center. These positions will vary, requiring availability during weekends, overnight shifts, and days across all three shifts.

This role is based at the Corporate Communications Center located in Hammond, LA. This position requires flexibility to work: days, evenings, overnight, and weekends! The Communications Center is open and staffed 24/7, 365 days of the year. No matter the weather (hurricane, snow/ice, rain or shine), we provide effective communications and support to all IPSC departments, branches, field supervisors and other staff located in 40+ states, therefore, in this position, you must be able to work: days, evenings, overnight and weekends depending on ever growing company needs with meticulous attention to detail.

  • Ability to listen and follow procedures accurately & consistently,

  • Punctuality required! You will be relieving someone of their shift without any gaps in post coverage as well as covering your post until your relief arrives.

  • Possess a team-oriented attitude and be someone that can maintain a professional attitude,

  • Have flexibility to adjust daily tasks as needs arise, to be the best support teams out in the field.

  • Has the ability and willingness to work consistently and adapt to needs in a department that operates 24/7, 365 days a year.

Job Responsibilities as a dispatcher in the Communications Center:

  • Monitoring schedules and reporting to the appropriate parties when schedule is not fulfilled or followed.

  • Essential computer skills are needed such as email management, various computer software and phone systems accurately.

  • Professionally handle incoming phone calls by promptly responding and following procedures such as transferring calls, accurate information taking to accurately document messages as well as communicating to and with the appropriate parties as may be needed.

  • Flexibility to adapt to changes as may be needed within the daily duties.

  • Communicate clearly and effectively in a dynamic environment.

Part Time: Up to 31 Hours

Full Time: 32-40 Hours

Pay starts at $13.00/hr., with possibility for advancement.

The ideal candidate will have open availability.

Shifts range from 6 hours, 8 hours, and up to 12 hours.

Responsibilities:

As a Corporate Dispatch Associate, you will play a pivotal role in our operations, ensuring seamless coordination and response. Your responsibilities will include:

· Maintaining punctuality and adhering to assigned shifts consistently.

· Demonstrating proficiency in essential computer skills, including Microsoft Office and email management.

· Handling inbound calls promptly, transferring them efficiently, and maintaining meticulous message records.

· Monitoring alarm signals vigilantly and promptly notifying the relevant authorities when necessary.

· Dispatching calls with precision, managing absentee notifications, and handling call-offs alongside related clerical duties.

· Following directions and keeping up with changes in procedures.

· Ability to communicate with others over the phone concisely and effectively.

· Exemplifying professionalism and courtesy in all interactions within our dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

· Availability to work 1st ,2nd, and 3rd Shifts, WEEKENDS, HOLIDAYS, and any INCLEMENT WEATHER (Tropical Storms/Hurricanes/Snow/Ice). We are here 24/7 and service 40 plus other states including Louisiana.

· Proficiency in basic computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office and email applications.

· Strong verbal communication, organizational, and multitasking abilities.

· Ability to thrive under pressure while managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
