Description

We are offering an opportunity for an Accountant to join our company in HAMMOND, Indiana. This role primarily involves bookkeeping, preparing financial statements, handling corporate tax returns, and performing month-end reconciliations. As a part of this role, you will be required to work in our physical office location.

Responsibilities:

• Handle bookkeeping tasks, ensuring all financial records are accurately maintained

• Prepare financial statements and quarterly reports

• Conduct month-end reconciliations and regularly update financial data

• Manage and prepare corporate tax returns

• Utilize Accounting CS, Ultra Tax, QuickBooks, and intermediate Excel to perform job functions

• Ensure all financial operations align with the current financial legislation

• Collaborate with other team members to ensure all financial operations are executed accurately and on time

• Communicate with clients to address inquiries related to their credit accounts

• Monitor customer credit accounts and take appropriate actions to collect delinquent payments.

Requirements

• Possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in an accounting role

• Must be proficient in the preparation of Financial Statements

• Demonstrable experience in Corporate Tax Return preparation is mandatory

• Expertise in QuickBooks Online is required

• Must possess excellent analytical skills and attention to detail

• Strong written and verbal communication skills are required

• Must demonstrate strong organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines

• Adept at working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

• Must possess a strong understanding of business and income tax worksheets and computations

• Demonstrable ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
