Inventory Control Specialist Job Description Schneider Electric has an opportunity for an Inventory Control Specialist in our West Chester, OH location.   • Collaborate with internal teams to lead activities related to the management of materials related to production, using multiple tools and communication methods.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain cycle counting strategies that align with company targets.
  • Strategize to efficiently determine and process obsolete material.
  • Develop and monitor program to ensure kanban material is aligned with production volumes.
  • Execute daily inventory analysis; identify and resolve discrepancies and potential shortages.
  • Ensure maintenance and accuracy of all records related to inventory transactions; cycle counts, adjustments, dispositions, audits, etc. Oversee stock item master, identifying incorrect descriptions and stock numbers. Locate items that may have incorrect locations or stock numbers to assist order processors. Communicate with Purchasing Department as needed regarding new items, changes of location, counts, etc. Ensure milestones and goals are met. Perform and assist with general maintenance and cleanup of warehouse. Operate forklift as needed. Perform additional related duties as assigned.

What qualifications will make you successful?

  • Inventory planning and inventory management experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of inventory management processes.
  • Highly organized with attention to detail.
  • Supply chain management knowledge is a plus.
  • Experience with ERP / Inventory control technical transactions.
  • Good written, verbal, reading and math skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Forklift experience.
