Summary:

  • To provide high quality, comprehensive clinical services that include assessment, individual and group Adjunctive Therapy treatment, process group facilitation, treatment plan inupt and documentation for all services provided. They will actively recruit and supervise student interns and volunteers.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide senior level clinical expertise in daily treatment rounds, treatment planning, and patient care for assigned program(s).

  • Provides clinical supervision and sets goals for staff training, education and self-development.

  • Conduct individual and group Adjunctive Therapy interventions within their scope of practice. Facilitate process-interactional groups.

  • Complete Multidisciplinary Assessments as assigned.

  • Document each treatment session in accordance with Princeton House's documentation policies.

  • Identify changes in patients' clinical status and communicate to appropriate member(s) of the treatment team.

  • Interact professionally and respectfully with patients, families, and staff in performance of daily duties.

  • Requisition supplies and equipment while maintaining cost consciousness.

  • Maintain and utilize Adjunctive Therapy equipment and supplies.

  • Order, check, and maintain supplies in a timely manner for client. Monitor safety of supplies. Use a diverse range of therapeutic modalities. Demonstrate creativity and current knowledge of selected therapies.

  • Actively recruits, orients, schedules, supervise, and evaluates student interns. Assists with the supervision/scheduling of volunteers. Coordinates internship related issues with Department Coordinator and peers.

  • Participate in hospital and program Performance Improvement Program and goals.

  • Support customer service and performance improvement goals of the department; collaborate with other caregivers/staff, within and outside the department, to develop means of enhancing patient care and service.

  • Maintain standards of confidentiality.

  • Provide age appropriate care as indicated by knowledge of the principle of growth and development over the life span, and ability to assess and interpret data relative to the patient's age.

  • Possess the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to meet patients' physical, psychological, and social needs with those growth and development levels/patient populations served within the department.

  • Work flexibly across treatment programs or locations as necessary.

  • Actively follows the unit's safety/security policies and procedures.

  • Provides in-service training and continuing education programs as assigned.

  • Provides senior level clinical guidance to peers as needed.

  • May act in a supervisory capacity for the department as needed.

  • Provide evening and weekend programs as scheduled.

  • Maintain high level of professional/clinical competence through ongoing in-service/continuing education and professional affiliations.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.

Credentials:

  • C-ATR or C-CBMT or C-CTRS or C-DMT or L-LAC or LPC or LSW (Required)

  • Art therapy – ATR-BC certification Dance/Movement therapy – ADTR certification Music therapy – MT-BC certification Recreational therapy – CTRS Counseling – LCSW/LPC

Education or Equivalent Experience:

  • Master of Arts or Science (Required)

  • Master's Degree in Adjunctive Therapy field or related specialization and possesses an appropriate terminal, Adjunctive Therapy Certificate such as BC-DMT, ATR-BC, CTRS, MMT-BC, with fulfillment of a clinical internship. they must also possess three (3) years or more years of experience in the treatment of the specific program's patient population.
