Assists with the operation and maintenance of all City parks, baseball fields, and other City facilities, including Riverview Cemetery. Duties include mowing, trimming, litter pickup, restroom sanitation, playground maintenance, maintaining picnic tables & park benches, daily inspection of city parks, and assisting with irrigation. May assist with cemetery maintenance and burial services, as needed. This position involves technical work and moderate to heavy physical labor maintaining parks, ballfields, and playgrounds. Responsibilities include mowing grass, irrigating, and other maintenance tasks. Adherence to safety procedures is essential. The role requires accurate record-keeping, as well as diplomacy, compassion, and tact when interacting with the public, with whom there is frequent contact. Supervision is provided by the Park Foreman. The position requires the ability to work independently in the Foreman's absence.
