Join Danfoss Climate Solutions as our new Senior Director, Quality & Safety and be a key player in our mission towards a zero-defect mindset. As our new Senior Director, Quality & Safety, your primary objective will be to ensure the safety of our teams while fostering high levels of customer satisfaction, both internally and externally. You'll be responsible for coaching and supporting the implementation of approved Quality and Safety Management System processes globally within our segment, in close collaboration with our divisions.

Reporting directly to the VP of Supply Chain Services, you'll serve as the global leader for Quality and Safety. Close coordination with other departments within Supply Chain Services and divisional teams such as RD&E, Procurement, and Operations will be essential. Your role will involve coaching, challenging, and standardizing divisional Quality and Safety leadership teams and reports.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Developing and implementing the global Quality and Safety strategy in collaboration with divisional leadership and Quality and Safety teams.

  • Providing guidance to ensure the production of safe and sustainable products, meeting quality obligations globally, and addressing risks efficiently.

  • Collaborating with divisional leaders to ensure the skills and competencies of factory Quality and Safety teams are aligned.

  • Aligning Quality and Safety practices, processes, systems, and culture across departments beyond Operations.

  • Developing and maintaining Quality and Safety governance models, tools, and processes.

  • Supporting improvement projects to drive Quality and Safety initiatives and objectives.

  • Taking overall responsibility for the business’s Quality and Safety performance and providing guidance across the Segment globally.

  • Contributing ideas and taking on challenges across the businesses to increase profitable growth, potentially involving special projects.

Background & Skills

The ideal candidate possesses:

  • Experience in a global organization and the ability to operate effectively in a matrix environment. Strong stakeholder management also in time of crisis.

  • A commercial or technical university degree or equivalent educational background.

  • At least 10 years of experience across operations and Quality and Safety, with a minimum of 5 years in global leadership roles.

  • Experience with IATF16949and in the automotive industry.

  • Advanced analytical, planning, and coordinating skills.

  • Knowledge in ISO14001 and ISO45001, as well as experience in FMEA, process audit, PPAP, and Lean.

  • Cross-cultural understanding and the ability to collaborate and influence in a global team.

  • A flexible mindset committed to continuous improvement.

  • Proficiency in English.

Location is flexible within Europe, preferably in Denmark. Travel to factories, customers, suppliers, and other Danfoss sites is expected (20-30% per year).
