Corporate Project Business Analyst
POWER Engineers, Inc. is seeking an experienced Project Business Analyst to join our Corporate PMO department. This role will be responsible for gathering business requirements, conducting needs assessments, and creating functional specifications to ensure that developed technology solutions support business objectives. The chosen candidate will be liaison between the project and development teams, POWER’s internal customers and external partners. The Business Analyst will work alongside corporate Project Managers to ensure project business requirements are met, solutions vetted and tested to support successful and quality implementations of technology solutions.
This position is posted in Boise, Hailey and Denver but, can work remotely from any location in the U.S. (Please note in the application where you prefer to be located).
Roles and Responsibilities
Support and participate in project planning activities, including scope, schedule and budget
Proactively collaborate with business units to analyze business needs and document system and functional requirements using standard templates and tools
Follow department-established requirements gathering process to identify requirements
Communicate requirements to the development teams using specifications, statements of work, project plans, or other forms of documentation
Critically evaluate business issues and risk of to an the organization and recommend solutions
Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, prioritize, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract low-level detailed information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true business needs
Develop detailed test cases to validate business and functional requirements
Coordinate with developers, quality assurance teams, and users to test processes and ensure functionality and user acceptance
Develop user documentation or training materials
Lead testing cycles and analyze test results
Produce visualization, user experience and configuration elements of solution designs
Collaborate with technical and subject matter experts to establish and develop technical roadmaps
Be the liaison between business units, functional teams, technology teams and support teams
Support project management, change management and processes
Produce plan to transition to support team after project implementation.
Required Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Math or related discipline
Business Analyst Certification (ie: IIBA, PMI-PBA, BAC, CCBA, CBAP, AAC, CAP)
Minimum seven (7) years of solid and focused project business analyst experience, involving corporate strategy, Information Technology (e.g. infrastructure, custom application development, integrating vendor-specific solutions)
Software Development Lifecycle and/or Agile project experience
Familiarity and collaboration experience with Project Management and Change Management processes
Successful track record of project implementations
Strong analytical skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application, infrastructure, and operational requirements
Experience in using enterprise-wide requirements definition and management systems and methodologies
Technical understanding of IT infrastructure and enterprise business systems, as well as familiarity with project centric organizations
Effective client-facing and internal team communication skills including verbal, written and presentation skills
Ability to create effective relationships, listen, influence, and collaborate with internal teams
Demonstrate attention to detail and time management capabilities
Ability to work effectively within a geographically distributed team
Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics F&O ERP, Customer Engagement, Project Operations, DevOps
Desired Experience/Qualifications:
Familiarity with CAD/BIM design tools (AutoDesk/Bentley suites)
Familiarity of reality capture technology
Familiarity with emerging AI and ML technologies
Familiarity with cloud computing technologies

The pay range for this position is $125K-$135K per year; however, base pay may be higher or lower depending on the candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This figure does not include additional compensation such as health benefits, vacation, 401k, etc.
