JOB SUMMARY:

As the Physical Security Manager, you will be responsible for the overall workplace security throughout JLG. This position is accountable to manage, oversee, and carryout security programs and policies relating to applicable local, state, and federal regulations. You would interface with other team members from all levels of the organization which is imperative in this position in order to maintain a safe and secure working environment. In this position you'll report to the Safety Director.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBLITIES:

  • Assist in the development, implementation and administration of security procedures and training programs.

  • Manage the day-to-day security operations and be responsible for the security and protection of all product either finished or in process.

  • Negotiate the terms and manage the execution of contracted security services.

  • Security post order review.

  • Communicate with local authorities, government bodies, customer and others as required in case of security breach.

  • Ensure facilities are provided with high quality security services to protect our people and property.

  • Handle any escalated security issues or emergency situations appropriately.

  • Be the security resource for stressful or higher risk situations.

  • Provide travel security guidance for those team members traveling international.

  • Continually monitor and assess security control effectiveness, through walks, inspections and analysis.

  • Effectively manage multiple projects from proposal to completion.

  • Maintain and enhance current CCTV system.

  • Develop positive relationships with local, state and federal agencies and outside specialist/organizations to enhance the credibility of the company's security system.

  • Participate or lead other special projects or assignments as assigned by supervisor.

  • Recommend plan for budgets and capital expenditures or security related enhancements.

  • Ability to handle highly confidential materials.

  • Lead continuous improvement projects for security.

  • Consult with all levels of management including: manufacturing managers, engineers, plant managers, coordinators, union representatives and visitors.

  • Responsible for overall facility access control for employees, contractors, and visitors.

  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in security or related field.

  • 5 plus years’ experience in security or law enforcement.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5 plus years of leadership experience.

  • Experience in creating and overseeing security strategies and plans for events.

  • Ability to assertively and efficiently multitask and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to communicate security information to all audiences and present information.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, e-mail systems, and other advanced computer programs.
