Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic

Job Description

Perform and complete daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly preventive maintenance programs on all assigned equipment within the facility. Complete preventive maintenance logs on all assigned equipment. Conduct general maintenance on all assigned production equipment as needed. Help install new equipment within the facility. Work with outside general contractors on special projects and preventive maintenance programs. Monitor and maintain a spare part inventory for assigned equipment. Keep the shop and stockroom clean and in orderly condition at all times. Maintain shop equipment in a safe operating condition. Assist in maintaining the inventory/part checkout sheet. Ensure that company tools are kept in good, safe working condition and returned to their proper place after each use. Assist co-workers where needed.

This is a fully on-site position in Hagerstown, Maryland.

Work Environment

The worker is subject to both inside and outside environmental conditions. The worker is subject to extreme heat, above 100 degrees for a period of one or more hours. The worker is subject to noise and vibrations, with exposure to oscillating movements of the extremities or whole body. The worker is subject to being exposed to moving mechanical parts, electrical currents, chemicals, etc. The worker is subject to atmospheric conditions such as fumes, odors, dusts, mists, gases, or poor ventilation. The worker is subject to oils, with air and/or skin exposure to oils and other cutting fluids. The maintenance team consists of about 15 people within a plant of approximately 110 employees. The dress code includes steel-toe shoes, hair net, jeans, and a clear shirt. The shift is Monday to Friday, 7am-3pm. There is one opening available.
