Job Summary

As Data Warehouse Developer, you will be involved in the design, configuration, implementation, and proactive management of the organization’s databases, data vault/warehouse solutions, backup, archiving, systems and monitoring resources.

Job Description

We are looking for a Data Warehouse Developer​ . This position will be a full-time and remote contract opportunity . This project involves conversion of legacy data warehouse to a new architecture which includes Data Vault 2.0 and traditional Data Mart.

What You’ll Do

  • Connect to new data sources

  • Explore data, model in the data vault and data mart

  • Configure and/or code data vault and data mart structures

  • Code complex stored procedures which implement business rules and load Fact tables

  • Convert complex existing report stored procedures from the legacy warehouse to the new one

  • Validate results using T-SQL; document all the differences

  • Troubleshoot code at all levels

  • Work with the report developers as they adapt to using the new warehouse

  • Individual will be on a very small team (2-3 people) and needs to be a self-starter who can quickly get up to speed

What You'll Need

Required:

  • 6+ years of T-SQL development. Very strong T-SQL skills needed

  • 4+ years SSIS experience required

  • Strong database and data warehouse modeling experience

  • Experience with Microsoft database projects (dacpac)

  • Experience with DevOps

  • Experience with Microsoft Access as a front end for SQL Server

Preferred

  • Experience with advanced T-SQL such as dynamic code generation, recursion, Gaps & Islands desirable

  • SSAS experience desired

  • Exposure to Data Vault

Physical Demands

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards

  • Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.

  • Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
