Sheet Metal/Spot welder Worker:

Small well known, long-time Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of Pipeline Products including U.L. listed simplex and duplex strainers, filters and transfer/diverter valves for pipelines

Job Description and Typical Tasks to be learned:

• Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, or materials/metal castings onto machines.

-Assemble pieces of metal together or repairing damage in metal components using heavy machinery that emits high heat, melting the metal into shape.

• Measure, examine, completed units to check for defects and ensure conformance to specifications, using precision instruments, such as micrometers.

-Will train individual to use traditional manual machines.

-Will train to Set up, adjust and operate basic or specialized machine tools used to perform commonplace machining operations.

-Needs to be able to read a ruler and Blueprints/drawings.
