The opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated Safety Specialist to join our team at Teva Pharmaceuticals. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with (fire) safety regulations, global Teva EHS standards, and programs. You will work collaboratively with EHS colleagues and operating departments to maintain compliance and foster a proactive EHS culture.

How you’ll spend your day

  • Facilitate the RI&E process (Risk Inventarisation and Evaluation).

  • Develop and implement strategies to address safety issues and ensure compliance with safety standards.

  • Participate in hazard reviews, risk analysis, HAZOPs, impact assessments, and facilitate root cause analysis.

  • Develop and execute local EHS Standards, Programs, and Work Instructions.

  • Organize and participate in safety training sessions and provide guidance on the proper use and maintenance of safety-related equipment.

  • Drive initiatives to continuously improve EHS performance and culture.

  • Manage the safety observation system and contractor toolbox.

  • Evaluate and approve high-risk work permits.

  • Lead internal safety inspections and audits.

  • Coach the EHS Champions community

Your experience and qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in safety, science, (chemical) engineering or related field.

  • EHS experience in a manufacturing or pharmaceutical industry.

  • Knowledge of Dutch EHS law and legislation, permits, enforcement, and industry practices relevant to the pharmaceutical (chemical) industry.

  • Experience with EHS Management Systems.

  • Fluent in Dutch and English.

  • Pro-active teamplayer
