The “ServiceNow – Senior Developer” will be a highly experienced results-driven person who is focused on delivering excellent customer focused solutions to join our team of developers. This person will provide leadership and oversight to ensure alignment to business strategy and the ServiceNow roadmap and is actively involved in the overarching governance of the platform.

In this role, the successful candidate will oversee the maintenance of the ServiceNow Platform and must be able to act with a sense of urgency and adapt to changing priorities. The candidate should have overall ServiceNow Skills including experience with Hardware/Software Asset Management, ITSM and Integrations.

Responsibilities:

Seeking an individual with ServiceNow Development, Integration and Maintenance skills as well as experience with HAM, SAM, ITSM and Integration Hub. A thorough understanding of the Common Service Data Model (CSDM) will be critical for this position. The selected candidate will bring ServiceNow System Development and Systems Architect skills, including experience with integrations and software lifecycle management.

  • Advance the SN platform through Integration Hub and automation

  • Design/Architect solutions across the SN platform

  • Consult with the development team, business process owners, customers, users and constituents to develop and analyze customer requirements

  • Collaborate with members of project teams to ensure successful, technically sound projects which are completed on time and on budget

  • Design and implement client scripts, UI policies, UI actions, business rules, workflows, and otherwise configure or modify ServiceNow applications to meet business requirements

  • Design and implement integration via REST and SOAP API, as well as JDBC and PowerShell scripting

  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to design, build, implement and maintain HAM, SAM and ITSM

  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to design, build, implement and maintain multiple Service Portals

  • Serve as administrator and developer for the whole ServiceNow platform

  • Performing day-to-day support and maintenance of ServiceNow across Production and Non-Production environments

  • Track, prioritize, and implement enhancement requests and defect corrections, while leveraging formal Change Management processes.

  • Advise on and maintain the use of ITIL and ServiceNow best practices

  • Collaborate with internal colleagues to design and implement data feeds/interfaces with other systems, including databases, other applications, monitoring tools, LDAP, etc.

  • Coordinate and perform application upgrades in partnership with vendors and internal colleagues

  • Perform application testing

  • Create and maintain system design and documentation

  • Develop and maintain procedural documents relating to the management of the platform

  • Provide advanced application support to internal team members

  • Provide training and knowledge transfer to other employees as necessary

  • Assist in IT process implementation and support as necessary

  • Participate in occasional after-hours releases for major implementations

  • Provide "on call” support on a periodic basis as required

  • Identify opportunities and implement service improvements across all functional areas within ServiceNow

Required Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent

  • 6+ years of proven experience in designing and implementing solutions on the ServiceNow platform

  • 3-5+ years of experience with writing and reading scripts in ServiceNow using Javascript: both server and client-side Rules including AJAX, Angular JS, HTML, CSS

  • 2-4+ years of experience with HAM, SAM and ITSM processes, maintenance, and development

  • 3-5+ years of fundamental understanding of the key technologies relevant to the ServiceNow integration solutions including: SSO, SAML, SSL, Web Services, LDAP, JDBC, ODBC, REST

  • 5+ years’ experience with web-based development languages (JavaScript, Angular JS, HTML, CSS, AJAX, HTTP, XML)

  • 5+ years experience Developing in the Service Portal

  • 3+ years experience Developing in Integration Hub and Flow Designer

  • Solid exemplary verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to adapt messaging to varying stakeholder levels

  • SaaS Experience / Cloud Development Experience

  • Strong analytical, estimating and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills

  • Ability to be flexible, adaptable and learn new concepts quickly

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills are needed for systems guidance

  • Ability to manage multiple and often conflicting tasks; effectively prioritize

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience Administering/Developing within HAM/SAM

  • Experience Administering/Developing within SPM

  • Experience Administering/Developing in the Employe Service Center

  • ServiceNow Certifications (Integration Hub, HAM, SAM, ITSM, CSDM)

  • Other ServiceNow Certifications

  • ITIL Certification
