Centered on data-driven technologies and innovation, these services include consulting, loyalty and marketing programs, test-and-learn business experimentation, and data-driven information and risk management services. While specializing in the payments industry, Mastercard Data & Services also works closely with major retailers, airlines, FinTechs, and other enterprises, leveraging data and insights garnered from within and beyond its network.

Roles and Responsibilities

Make an Impact as a Data Enablement and Insights Consultant , which is part of Customer Success team, Specialized Product Delivery (SPD), Advisors Client Services

Advisors Specialized Product Delivery is a client-facing team that partners with customers and helps them drive measurable value by: 

• Pro-actively engaging with customers to strengthen their internal skills, knowledge, and experience for Mastercard products and solutions.

• Project managing the delivery of new and complex products and solutions to our customers.

• Partnering with our product and sales teams to ensure clear communication to our customers, incl. developing and maintaining customer support and sales materials.

• Acting as the knowledge expert on products and solutions and the most effective means of implementations.

• Engaging in pre-sales activities to showcase value future customers can achieve from the solutions.

• Supporting data enablement and data insights related efforts to help customers leverage data for strategic decision-making and enhancing location intelligence capabilities.

As a Data Enablement and Insights Consultant you will be working mainly with Customer Success team and our Product teams on executing a well-designed on-boarding experience and providing on-going support to our customers and Mastercard. You will develop a deep understanding of our product features & functionalities and how these can be utilized to drive value for our customers.

Your Responsibilities

• Work with internal teams as well as customers to understand data driven use cases to identify right approaches and scenarios for data matching, enrichment to maximize our solutions value-add

• Research and deliver solutions for complex problems and respond to inquiries.

• Provide data enablement support to help customers leverage location data and geospatial analytics for actionable insights.

• Tailor training sessions and product demos to highlight location intelligence tools and capabilities.

• Work closely with clients to ensure they can effectively utilize location data to support business decisions.

• Collaborate with the product team to develop new location intelligence features based on customer feedback and market needs.

• Address complex geospatial problems and provide solutions to enhance customer experience with location data products.

• Analyze large card transactions datasets and synthesize key findings to provide recommendations via descriptive analytics and business intelligence.

• Visualize available data across multiple Mastercard solutions to demonstrate strength of insights available to Mastercard customers.

• Participate on developmentin the development of data dashboards for internal as well as customer use.

• Utilize data analytics software (e.g., Python, R, SQL, SAS) to support data enablement and analysis tasks.

• Build, manage, and maintain database structures; work with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI); and, where applicable, work with Hadoop frameworks and coding using Impala, Hive, or PySpark.

Qualifications

• Experience in delivery of SaaS solutions or data products.

• Proven experience working in Customer Delivery or Consulting fostering strong customer engagement, demonstrating value add to customers, and leading to successful product / project deliverables.

• Product-minded and focused on delivering solutions that are scalable, leverage cutting-edge technologies, and ultimately delightful for end-users.

• Proven ability to work with both business and technology stakeholders; translating business requirements into practical use of available data sets and solutions

• Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills

• Enthusiastic with the ability to inspire others and create a collaborative culture of teamwork.

• Demonstrated ability to develop relationships with both mid- and executive-level customer contacts.

All About Your Education & Skills 

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification.

• Fluent English language is required, other languages desirable.

• Comfortable with significant customer interaction and excited to build relationships.

• Advanced Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills required.

• Proficiency using data analytics software (e.g., Python, R, SQL, SAS).

• Additional data and analytics experience in building, managing, and maintaining database structures, working with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), or working with Hadoop framework and coding using Impala, Hive, or PySpark is preferred.
