What you'll do:

As a Dental Assistant you will work to enhance the daily operations of the clinic by providing excellent care and communication to our patients. As a Dental Assistant you will:

  • Prepares, sterilizes, disinfects, and maintains dental equipment, instruments, and supplies.

  • Collects and records patient health histories and x-rays.

  • Ensures patient comfort during dental procedures.

  • Prepares dental materials (cements, amalgam, composite, impression materials, etc.).

  • Completes charting of treatment information in the patients' dental notes from the doctor as directed.

  • Assist doctor in management of medical and dental emergencies.

  • Clean and polish removable devices.

  • Delivers postoperative and general oral care instructions to patient.

  • Maintains infection control procedures, patient privacy, and professional interactions with patients and staff.

  • Assist administrative team with customer service functions.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Completion of an accredited Dental Assisting Program or dental assistant experience preferred.

  • Previous customer service or office experience.

  • Proficiency or the ability to become proficient within 90 days in dental terminology and dental. software for charting, treatment planning, clinical notes, etc.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Foster a positive attitude and be a team player.

Patient Care Hours:

Monday 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Tuesday 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Wednesday 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Thursday 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
