The Team: The C&RS team provides valuable datasets provided by S&P global as well as analytical models and sophisticated workflow solutions to help users quickly and easily measure the credit risk of rated, unrated, public and private companies across the globe in a key strategic platform using emerging tools and technologies. The team works in a significant environment that gives ample opportunities to use creative ideas to take on complex analytical problems. You will have the opportunity every single day to work with people from a wide variety of backgrounds and will be able to develop a close team dynamic with coworkers from around the globe.

The Impact: You will have the opportunity every single day to work with people from a wide variety of backgrounds and will be able to develop a close team dynamic with coworkers from around the globe. With the ever-expanding data sets and techniques to handle data, in this role you will use cutting edge techniques in domain languages to handle both traditional and alternative data sets and apply them into credit modelling. You will be making meaningful contribution in building solutions for the Webservices/API/Data Processing. The work you do will provide the data and analytics required for crucial, daily decisions in the capital and commodities markets.

Responsibilities:

•  Work as a hands-on developer and design, execute and deploy projects aimed at solving high-impact business problems.

•  Play a central role in all stages of the building new products to our clients, including:

o  Using data science and software engineering skills to solve business problems for our end-users

o  Partnering with business leaders, domain experts, and end-users to gain business understanding, data understanding, and collect requirements

•  Data analysis and preparation

•  Partnering with financial engineers and model developers to understand specifications for building and deploying models/algorithms into production systems

•  Architect a solution that is scalable and resource efficient

•  Produce system documents

•  Improve the quality of code

What We’re Looking For:

Basic Qualifications:

•  Pursuing Bachelor's /Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Science or equivalent.

•  Have worked on business domains related to Finance, Economics.

•  Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills

•  Have strong analytical skills and learning agility

•  Have ability to work in a collaborative work environment

•  Proficiency on Core Java/ Scala

•  Preferred knowledge on AWS, Spark, Microservices, Spring Boot, no-SQL data stores such as Cassandra
