Philips Product & Pricing Manager - S&RC in Gurgaon, India
About the role
Philips S&RC, India is looking for a member of the commercial marketing team to fuel our growth story. The incumbent will be actively involved in implementing the portfolio and pricing strategy, go-to market models & accelerate omnichannel performance. This is a key position in the marketing team, leading and directly influencing our strategic vision.
We are looking for a highly skilled product manager with a proven ability to strategize the full product lifecycle. Additionally, you will be responsible for:
Business Planning: Driving product planning and business forecasting process across and in collaboration with various functions of the organization.
Portfolio management: Lead the SRC India portfolio including product positioning, pricing, new product introductions, product specific marketing communication across channels, product research, market research, competitive analysis, planning, product availability and build a portfolio roadmap
Maintain monthly reports on sales performance and key KPIs for the product level performance
Coordinate with BG for India product requirements and execute the same in market with various stakeholders
Understand disease states and care pathways and be able to recognize and create market appropriate, product positioning
Pricing management : Pricing is a very critical part of this role and is a link between sales, marketing and finance teams enabling pricing & distribution optimization.
Tapping into the market and recommending contemporary commercial policies – deals, discounts, offers, bundles etc. to ensure competitive positioning. Also, propose product pricing to meet revenue and profitability goals.
Coordinate price and line chart updates internally (sales, finance, supply chain, GBS)
Ensure price quotes and contracts are negotiated within the Commercial Policy guidelines
Ensure price terms and customer investments reflect resp. customer counter performance and strategic fit
Ensure proper functioning of the minimum price escalation process
Analyze pricing KPIs and act as a consultant towards sales, marketing and finance to drive continuous pricing and profitability performance improvements
Marketing Communications : Create a strong product activation roadmap including ATL-BTL campaigns, omni channel communications and own the clinical roadmap as per the clinical and patient pathway in the market.
Develop key sales enablers for driving product growth as per AOP and CSG targets
Develop product activation material both marketing and clinical based to enable the right product communication and information access across customers i.e. channel partners, clinicians, patients and internal stakeholders
Create and maintain product assets post approval from relevant stakeholders
Develop innovative marketing plans to drive 2x growth across focus categories
Market Intelligence: Gathering and analyzing market information to define existing markets, channel partners, map competition, current prescriber trends. Analyze market data to develop product portfolio strategies and define product objectives for effective marketing communication plan.
Customer Connect: Understand and define customer personas, analyze consumer needs to define touchpoints. Meet existing and prospective customers and partners to understand their needs and translate in depth market and customer insights into solutions and plan meaningful interventions to meet our customers’ needs short, mid, and long term.
Collaborate with relevant stakeholders including sales, finance, legal, compliance, BG and marketing to drive business objectives
Requirements (proficiency in all above is non-negotiable)
To succeed in this role, you’ll need a customer-first attitude and the following:
Experience: 4+ years (in marketing or sales) with significant experience in a dynamic product management role is preferred. Experience in health care/Pharma/med-tech is a must.
MBA from a premier business school
Absolute Must - Data driven - insight(s) based approach; Numerically savvy.
Excellent written, interpersonal, and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated ability to work in a matrixed environment.
Project management approach with ability to prioritize tasks to drive business.
Strong project management and interpersonal skills.
How we work together
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week.
Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities.
Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
