This role will be responsible for all aspects of software development, testing and ensuring compatibility with enterprise and solutions architecture by harnessing modern development technologies

You will have the chance to define and develop new capabilities and engage with multiple development teams and partners across the Aladdin Product Group.

Job Description:

  • Help design and build the next generation of world’s best Technology platform for Aladdin

  • Understand the infrastructure that powers the telemetry stack responsible for business-critical metrics

  • Have knack of understanding performance, reliability and scalability of the underlying telemetry systems

  • Be part of an agile development team working with Technical Architects, leads, designers and team

  • Diagnose, research and resolve software defects

  • Understand and refine business and functional requirements and convert them into scalable technical design.

  • Apply proven quality software engineering practices through all phases of development

  • Ensure resilience and stability through quality code reviews, unit, regression and user acceptance testing, dev ops and level two production support

Role Essentials:

  • B.S. / M.S. degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline with 3-5 years of experience

  • A passion for engineering highly available, performant full stack applications with a “Student of Technology” attitude

  • Good hands-on object-oriented programming experience in Java, Spring, JavaScript, Python, Angular (2.0 +)and Design with Design Patterns expertise

  • Strong experience with Open Source technology stack (Spring, Apache, JBoss, Tomcat, Ant, Maven, JUnit, etc.).

  • Experience with relational database and NoSQL Database (e.g. Apache Cassandra)

  • Dev Ops with Azure Dev OPS or equivalent git based SDLC practices is helpful

  • Passion to work in a team-environment, multi-tasking and effective communication skills

  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to other technologies such as Kubernetes, Cloud

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and debugging skills

  • Knowledge of software development methodologies (analysis, design, development, testing) and basic understanding of Agile / Scrum methodology and practices

  • Open source publish-subscribe frameworks like apachekafka
