Description
Position Summary :
The manufacturing engineer position develops and implements optimal, cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods in accordance with product specifications and quality standards; recommends and implements improvements to production processes, methods and controls.
Shift: Day
Schedule: This is a full-time position. Monday – Friday 7:30am – 4:30pm, 45 hours per week expectation with additional hours as needed.

Responsibilities:
Carries out process improvement, problem resolution, project management and employee training.
Improves manufacturing processes and methods for cost-reduction, quality improvement and efficiency.
Prepares and presents plans for the above and coordinate deployment including training of team members.
Assists Manufacturing Operations Director in improving a system of production control, standard operating procedures, safety, quality control and training.
Represents manufacturing on cross-functional teams .
Designs, develops, tests, sources, and cost-justifies various tools, machinery and equipment for recommended manufacturing methods.
Performs research, design and development of manufacturing processes including production flow, assembly methods and production equipment.
Prepares and maintains detailed layouts of buildings and equipment as needed.
Coordinates the manufacturing launch of new/revised products including establishing goals, training team members and evaluating results.
Performs product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement, and improved efficiency.
Support on different shifts for specific projects will be required as needed.
Knowledge, Skills & Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering or related field.
Computer assisted design proficiency in: CAD, AutoCAD, CATIA and Solidworks.
Minimum 3 years related manufacturing engineering experience.
Possess a strong understanding of manufacturing processes.
Demonstrated understanding of Theory of Constraints.
Experience managing projects using lean manufacturing and six sigma tools and techniques.
Strong presentation skills and ability to communicate at all levels.
Ability to keep multiple project moving forward.
Demonstrated project management skills including ability to keep multiple project moving forward simultaneously.
Strong leadership skills and ability to influence others.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and without supervision.
Demonstrated flexibility when managing through competing projects and priorities.
Mastercam experience preferred.
Spreadsheet software (Excel).
Presentation software (PowerPoint).
