Central Utah Correctional Facility Medical

An incumbent in this job is responsible for managing housekeeping/laundry services at a State institution. Initiates and directs training programs for department personnel,unit staff,patients and all newly hired employees on topics such as Material Data Safety Sheets (MSDS),proper handling of contaminated waste/infectious linens,and supervision of patient industrials(patients employed who perform limited duties). Incumbent is accountable for the expense budget,all department equipment,supplies and inventories. Ensures compliance with various federal regulations such as: JCAHO,HCF,HAZCOM,and OSHA standards/regulations. Prepares,recommends,and initiates policies and procedures to ensure compliance with issues of disposal of hazardous/infectious waste,infection control,training,federal and State regulations.
