Hancock Bank Senior Training Specialist - R013154 in Gulfport, Mississippi

This is a job position for a Senior training Specialist located in Gulport, MS.

JOB SUMMARY: Serves as the primary training resource for assigned topical or functional areas. Ensures that training is conducted regularly and effectively for the audiences they support, either independently or through other trainers. Responsible for analyzing, designing, implementing, delivering, and managing assigned training projects.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Using a performance consulting approach, works with subject matter experts to design and develop training and/or performance support resources for the audience(s) they are assigned to support. May partner with our learning design & development team for larger projects, or those that will be taught by multiple training resources. Designs, schedules, and delivers training content in a classroom environment, or via virtual instructor led tools, to intended audience, according to established service level agreements or project plans. Uses course authoring tools and other media to design self-directed learning experiences.Partners with leadership and monitors reports to understand and stay abreast of hiring trends for the area or function they support.Manages the classroom environment to ensure each associate receives a quality learning experience. Provides feedback to management on students as needed.Properly documents class offerings, attendance, and course credit in the company's learning management system.Sends applicable post class surveys to participants and/or seeks appropriate feedback on classes taught. Monitors results of surveys by course topic for trends.Identifies resources needed to support projects. Prepares a comprehensive schedule and gains concurrence from appropriate leadership and project sponsors as applicable. Keeps project stakeholders abreast of training completion statistics as necessary. Stays current on policies and procedures for the client base they support. Participates in the process to keep coursework up to date by taking action and/or notifying the appropriate instructional design resources of any potential discrepancies in training content. Prepares leader guides and conducts train the trainer sessions where applicable.May oversee computer labs and other training environments to ensure an effective delivery of training requiring a specific software component.Fills in for training specialists as needed.

Requirements: Associate degree in a related field or equivalent experience required; Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.5+ years of financial service training experience; Specialized banking knowledge may be considered in place of training experience.Previous management experience may be required depending on the region or function being supported. Ability to read, comprehend, and explain company prepared regulatory and policy information.Strong analytical skills.Demonstrated ability to manage projects and resources.Technical skills to learn, operate and deliver training using company platform and technology systems (LCDs, webinar tools, survey tools, learning authoring tools etc.).Strong interpersonal skills; Ability to communicate orally and in writing with all levels of associates. Ability to communicate with and influence leadership when managing or participating in projects as a subject matter expert. Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.Excellent communication, analytical, customer service and organizational skills.Strong presentation and training skills

ESSENTIAL MENTAL & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines.Strong financial competency.Ability to travel.Ability to lift/move/carry approximately 30 pounds if required to perform the essential job functions.
