About the role

The Shift Leader is responsible for coordinating and support warehouse plans and schedules as determined by the Warehouse / Logistics Supervisor. The effective coordination of personnel through centers and support group service are also main responsibilities, who must ensure that all operations are maintained, under safety, security, environmental and GMP compliance.

Role Responsibilities

  • Provide training: Deliver on the job training to warehouse technicians on the operation of Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT)

  • Conduct Operations: Facilitate orientation sessions for new hires and provide ongoing hands-on training to warehouse employees, including SAP and RF technology training.

  • Warehouse proficiency: Demonstrate expertise in all warehouse functions and the ability to perform all warehouse positions using appropriate equipment.

  • Inventory Management: Oversee inventory by managing stock, tracking shipments, understanding inventory policies, and adapting quickly to changes in requirements. Leadership role in cycle count activities.

  • SAP Expertise: Possesses advanced knowledge of SAP to ensure smooth operations and effective problem solving.

  • Incident Support: Assists Supply Chain / Warehouse leadership during investigations of safety and quality incidents related to warehouse activities.

  • Shift training: Provide necessary training to shift operators in accordance with documented plan curriculum.

  • Support production meetings to provide lines’ status and problems.

  • Support weekend operations in line with the Warehouse / Logistics Supervisor as required.

  • Act as an interface between the operator and the coordination with other department's requests.

  • Prepare daily process performance documentation such as shift summary, downtime reports, and service reports.

  • Assist in providing input to some personnel related tasks (i.e., attendance, performance).

  • Evaluation and preparation of vacation schedules as requested by the Warehouse / Logistics Supervisor.

  • Ensure lines continue operation during shift changes and during meal breaks by coordinating operators on staggered breaks as required.

Why you?

Basic Qualifications:

  • Associate degree: a minimum of 5 years of experience in packaging/manufacturing

  • Bachelor’s Degree: a minimum of 2 years of experience in packaging/ manufacturing

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Fluent verbal and written skills in English and Spanish

  • Exposure to regulatory inspections and interactions with inspectors
