Summary You will serve as a MATERIALS HANDLER in the Postal Operations Branch of NAVSUP FLEET LOGISTICS CENTER JACKSONVILLE. Responsibilities You will review standard operating procedures to certify adherence to material handling procedures. You will verify postal materials and items are properly handled, loaded, and secured for transit. You will coordinate incoming and outgoing shipment to determine the placement of materials in the docking area. You will load and unload shipments from trucks and other material conveyances using forklifts. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Physical Demands: The incumbent may operate U.S. Government 2-ton step van, 5 ton box truck and 2 ton flatbed truck and/or forklift to load and transport mail. Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds on an occasional basis. Proper protective clothing and footwear for warehouse working environment is required. Rotating shift and overtime based on mission requirements may be required.
