Job Description

Based in Guangzhou, China

  • Provide Training coverage for all below in Mandarin, Cantonese, and English

  • Prepare and Deliver training to Sabre customers on the proper usage of Sabre products

  • Provide knowledge transfer to internal and JV partners as required

  • Create training materials as required

  • Provide onsite floor-walk support on occasion

  • Travel for training if the occasion requires it

  • Assist with administration and management of the Sabre Training platform when called upon

  • Maintain rigor in all decisions to be taken, ensuring best returns for

  • Maintain relationships with Internal partners

  • Provide feedback on how the Training function may continue to be improved

  • Keep abreast of new developments across company products

  • Keep current with industry changes

  • Remain plugged in to enterprise wide updates

  • Delivery of extraordinary instruction that promotes usage of the system

  • Undertake training needs analyses

  • Participate in special assignments that would draw on Training skills

  • Develop a curiosity to understand the breadth and depth of knowledge of Sabre Products

  • Become subject matter expert (SME) in assigned products

  • Preparation of the training environment – virtual or in person

  • validate the effectiveness of the curricula and methodology

  • Examining the learnings of the participants to the standards set

  • Important to be aware and in tune with the new solutions being delivered by Product Marketing and Product Management.

  • Work closely with Product Delivery as well as Learning Management Team to ensure Training Materials are well prepared and reflected in a comprehensive delivery of the solutions during training.

  • Alignment with the Sales team to ensure resources are prioritized and planed for timely training for new and conversion customers so we may begin harvesting bookings the earliest possible.

  • Ensure that all our self-help tools are clearly on the minds of the customer to enable them to learn and pick up new segments of capabilities of our product at their own pace and as they are required

Job Requirements

  • Basic Degree or 5 years of experience in the travel industry. Training Diploma or proven record in training, Industry Diploma or experience with the travel trade

  • 4 years of hands on training or teaching

  • Knowledge in Travel trade and it’s complexities; GDS functions; Basic technology – Applications; Systems

  • Skills in Delivery of Training; Develop Curricula; Create Training materials; Perform Training needs Analysis

  • Ability to simplify and communicate – break down and build knowledge through explanation and demonstration

  • Analytical – to understand what is really being required

  • Network – to have a wider reach in terms of influence and help
