What is the job about?

As a District Sales Manager (DSM), your primary goal is to boost sales of Grundfos products in your assigned area. You'll achieve this by identifying, analyzing, improving, and overseeing key activities that ensure increased sales to end users, contractors, and OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers). Your role involves raising awareness among Key Decision Makers (KDMs) about the benefits of Grundfos products, as well as building and maintaining a network of distributors. Additionally, you will be responsible for creating, implementing, and sustaining a growth plan for your territory, with the aim of increasing Grundfos' market share in the industrial sector.

This position reports directly to the Sales Manager and will operate in a remote set up from Jalisco, MX. Qualified candidates must have authorization to work in Mexico without support.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Selling: Facilitate sales of Grundfos products to end users, contractors, and OEMs by providing guidance and support to distributors, forming relationships with KDMs, and utilizing Grundfos processes and sales programs.

  • Territory Planning / Channel Development: Continually study the industrial business climate, industry types, KDMs, applications, and competition in the assigned APR. Develop and implement a territory growth plan, assess and manage industrial distribution, and handle conflict across sales channels or business units.

  • Training / Mentoring: Provide or facilitate training on Grundfos products, online tools, sales tools, and processes, including Value Selling, to distributors.

  • Reporting / Time Management: Input and maintain distributor data, activities, and sales opportunities in the CRM system. Document sales calls, phone calls, online activities, etc., and keep CRM opportunities complete and current. Maintain an acceptable Face Time percentage and use the Grundfos expense reporting process. Complete tasks in a timely manner.

Your background:

We imagine that you have:

  • Preferably (3) years of pump experience or greater

  • A minimum of three years' experience in industrial distribution is desired

  • Have a bachelor’s degree in engineering or technical discipline

  • Have a valid driver’s license, and maintain a good driving record

  • Have experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook)

  • Collaborate effectively with your colleagues
