Description:

Aerotek is looking for Machine Operators in the Groton/Pawcatuck area for an immediate job opportunity. This company manufactures various electrical cable cord products, and these operators will be responsible for the following tasks:

• Start up an extruder and make adjustments as needed to ensure a quality product

• Set gears, ratios and heats to required specifications

• Troubleshoot problems with assistance

• Use a micrometer/caliper to periodically check product running to ensure quality

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. of material

• Standing, bending, stretching during 12-hour shifts

• Previous extrusion operation experience is a plus

• Comfortable working overtime
