We are looking for an experienced and self-motivated individual to fill the position of Inspector with our Ingleside Plant located in Gregory, Texas.

Essential Job Duties: 

·        Maintain protection of the environment and the health and safety of our employees, customers, and the communities in which we operate and/or transport our products, as our highest priority.

·        Assure compliance with ASME, API, NACE, CMA, and the Chlorine Institute inspection guidelines for existing and new plant equipment and components.

·         Administer both nondestructive and destructive techniques to test pressure equipment for physical degradation, including both internal and external corrosion.

·         Manage and direct activities of inspection contractors as required during turnarounds, and major capital projects and daily maintenance activities.

·         Develop equipment inspection frequencies and specific steps to take during each inspection, document equipment/material performance, corrosion rates, establish classification of failures when necessary, recommend control measures and issue reports for replacement/repair and assist/advise in repair procedures.

·         Maintain Coating Inspection Records, perform NACE inspections, ensure vessels and piping coating are properly applied and meet manufacturers recommendations.  Develop tracking method, make coating recommendations, surface preparation methods to ensure proper coating of equipment and piping.

·         Review SAP Coating Work Orders and make recommendations.

·         Manage the Corrosion Under Insulation Inspection and Paint Programs Plans for the Ingleside site.

·         Assure compliance with all requirements associated with the OSHA process safety mechanical integrity regulation subsections.

·         Schedule and conduct all mechanical inspections as required by professional and government agencies.

·         Manage and administer plant safety relief device integrity program, schedule testing, maintain detailed reports on conditions associated with the program.

·         Provide off plant inspection services for capital projects. 

·         Comply with all federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and operating permits (state boiler inspection, insurance recommendations, etc.).

·         Promote all environmental policies and procedures, including OxyMin, Environmental Program Management, and the Environmental Procedures Manual.

·         Budget and track inspection services spending activities.

·         Maintain all appropriate inspection drawings, files, equipment records and logs, specifications for Inspection Group. 

·        Assist in planning outages or major repair work with maintenance and production.

·        Assist maintenance engineers on special projects of a non-routine basis, and assist on specifications.

Qualifications

 Minimum Qualifications:

·         High School Diploma or GED required.

·         Working knowledge of ASME Section I and Section VIII Codes and ANSI B31.3, B31.1 Process and Power Piping codes. 

·         Proficiency in nondestructive testing, thorough knowledge of national safety codes, training in corrosion technology. 

·         Working knowledge of SAP Maintenance Work Order system.

·         High proficiency in Microsoft applications (such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).

·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

·         Ability to read, write and speak in English. 

·         Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to work as part of a team.

·         Ability to work weekends, holidays and respond to callouts on a non-routine basis.

·         Physical requirements – Must be able to lift 40 lbs, climb ladders and stairs. Walking, bending, stooping is required. Must be able to wear personal protective equipment including the use of a respirator. Must be able to respond to visual and audible alarms.

Additional Desired Qualifications:

·         Certification by professional inspection societies. 

·         Specific experience in industrial plant maintenance.
