- RESPONSIBILITIES
1.1. Plan, communicate, and implement initiatives to maintain the company's Quality Management System and ISO 9001 certification status.
1.2. Manage issue-tracking logs (non-conformance notes, corrective action requests, and customer complaints). 1.3. Monitor performance by gathering relevant data and producing statistical reports.
1.4. Initiate process improvement activities and work with affected areas to implement changes. 1.5. Identify quality-related training needs and provide training as needed.
1.6. Specify quality requirements of raw materials and finished goods from suppliers.
1.7. Resolve disposition of non-conforming parts.
1.8. Coordinate internal, customer, and 3rd party audits.
1.9. Support Quality Control Inspector (receiving inspections, deviations, calibration, etc.). 1.10. Support Quality Control & Service Inspector (quality of rebuilds and assemblies).
1.11. Calibration of inspection equipment.
- REPORTING
2.1. Engineering Manager.
- EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
3.1. Understanding of ISO Standard principles and requirements.
3.2. Four-year Engineering Degree.
3.3. Proficient with process improvements tools, six-sigma training is a plus.
3.4. Experience in a manufacturing / assembly environment.
3.5. Computer proficiency.
- TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
4.1. New employee's introduction training (form F7.210).
4.2. Internal audit training.
4.3. Company ISO quality procedures.
4.4. Company-specific systems training (i.e., LEAN, Teamcenter).
4.5. Company-specific product training.
- SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
5.1. Interpretation of engineering drawings.
5.2. Strong presentation and communication skills.
5.3. Ability to work closely with people at all levels of the organization.
5.4. Knowledge of gearing industry.
salary: $75,000 - $85,000 per year
