Robert Half Staff Accountant in Greenwood, Nebraska

Description We are offering a compelling opportunity for a Staff Accountant to be a part of our team in Greenwood, Nebraska. As a Staff Accountant, you will be instrumental in managing and analyzing financial information and perform a variety of accounting activities. You will be actively involved in Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), bank reconciliations, and general ledger activities. This role provides a long-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Handle the annual budgeting process, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.

• Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making and strategic planning.

• Monitor financial performance against budget and forecasts, flagging variances, and suggesting corrective actions.

• Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for management and stakeholders.

• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.

• Oversee cash flow management and optimize working capital.

• Collaborate with other departments to support project budgeting and financial planning.

• Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering professional growth and development.

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and audit support.

• Develop and manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR), Bank Reconciliations, and General Ledger. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management is required.

• Experience in Bank Reconciliations is necessary.

• Familiarity with General Ledger management is essential.

• Ability to create and manage Journal Entries is expected.

• Proficiency in Month End Close operations is required.

• Knowledge of NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, SAP, and Sage 100 is necessary.

• Experience in Month-end Close Activities is a must.

• Ability to handle Journal Entry and Month-end Journal Entries is expected.

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is a key requirement.
