Job Description:

  • Performs functional test support operations based on standard operating and test procedures. Performs technical duties in operating, troubleshooting, testing, repairing, and aligning of electronic equipment. Works from schematics, operating or repair manuals, engineering drawings, and written or verbal instructions. May work with complex machines or computer systems. Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format.

    Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for the test and evaluation of Group B electronic equipment and components

  • Ability to read and understand all detailed work instructions, drawings, schematics, and procedures and perform computer related tasks with minimal assistance

  • May assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify processes

  • Assemble, configure, test, operate, and repair hardware in accordance with documentation provided

  • Utilize electronic test and measurement equipment to support general laboratory test and evaluation operations (Multimeter, Logic Analyzer, Spectrum Analyzer, Signal Generator, etc.)

  • Perform benchtop functional testing with only the guidance of a test procedure and understand what the procedure is testing

  • Collect test data for review and analysis. Document equipment failures through designated reporting tools

  • Maintain a clean, well-organized, and safe work area. Follow all safety guidelines and report unsafe conditions to manager

  • Support facility operations through the completion of assigned tasks as directed by management

  • Willingness and ability to have flexibility with daily schedule and tasks with minimal notice in order to meet company objectives

  • Perform all job functions with a positive, professional attitude

    Qualifications:

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance, which requires US citizenship

    Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Ability to read and understand all applicable work instructions and procedures, as well as perform computer related tasks

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word)

  • Basic networking experience

  • Ability to interpret mechanical/electrical drawings and schematics

  • Experience with working in an ESD safe environment

  • Familiar with standard electronic test and measurement equipment operations

  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills

  • Possess a high level of initiative and willingness to learn
