GE Vernova Site Sourcing Specialist – MRO in Greenville, South Carolina

Job Description Summary

The Site Sourcing Specialist – MRO will be responsible for execution of Indirect Sourcing strategies and processes for MRO supplies & spare parts for our Greenville site. The Sourcing Specialist will negotiate with dedicated providers according to specific policies, and ensure best contractual conditions in accordance with established contracts and/or commodity strategies. The Sourcing Specialist will work closely with operational stakeholders at the site, ensuring that stakeholder requests are addressed quickly while adhering to established sourcing processes.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Global Commodity Leaders and the Site Sourcing Leader to execute sourcing strategies.

  • Manage quoting, supplier negotiation, new part creation, contract updates and PO placement for spare parts, tools and consumables with selected strategic suppliers.

  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure requests are addressed quickly while adhering to sourcing strategies and procedures.

  • Use data analysis, technical experience and analytical thinking to solve problems.

  • Conduct supplier negotiations to ensure competitive pricing is achieved.

  • Develop and utilize in-depth knowledge of a discipline. Apply prior experience and acquired expertise to execute functional policy/strategy.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 5 years of experience in Job Family Group(s)/Function(s))

  • 3+ years of experience in a supply chain or sourcing role

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally to implement and drive process improvements

  • Self-starter with demonstrated ability to set and execute priorities

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and solve problems

Desired Characteristics

  • Experience in MRO sourcing and/or tool stores management

  • Strong data analysis / Excel skills

  • Strong negotiations skills

  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs

  • Six sigma certification or experience with Lean tools

The base pay range for this position is $$72,700.00 - $96,900.00 USD Annual. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for variable incentive compensation.

*The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
