Job Description Summary

This Lead Manufacturing Engineer will establish internal processes that safely ensures the production of high-quality products that meet compliance and project requirements. Drive continuous improvement across the product lines by owning project timelines, improving cycle & cost, resolving technical/process issues, and drive lean initiatives throughout the implementation of the rotor assembly and repair lean journey. This position will lead the insourcing and qualification of multiple machining operations including rotor repair VTLs and shaft lathe turning and grinding. Effectively interface with manufacturing and other support teams to complete projects to meet EHS, materials, production, quality, and cost savings goals within schedule and budget.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities:

• Proactively problem solve and utilize creative thinking to drive implementation of new equipment in the rotor assembly and repair assembly

• Lead qualification of repair VTL, shaft lathe machining, and other repair capacity increase equipment

• Manage capacity increase projects and continuous improvement efforts in accordance with plant metrics

• Lead improvement efforts for across the cell for visual management, tooling, plant equipment, and safety/ergonomic solutions

• Provide technical support for training of assemblers across areas of expertise

• Maintain and improve process documentation to ensure consistent quality.

• Work with cross-functional team to drive 5s, operational rigor/ rhythm / standard work, training plan, and ensure projects are prioritized to align with business needs

• Drive improvements partnering with outside vendors to improve consumable cost

• Develop work instructions & procedures to support operator training and process control

• Support product qualifications as needed

• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Manufacturing).

• Minimum of 2 year of experience in Production Process and Equipment

The base pay range for this position is $955K – $115K USD Annual. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for bonuses, such as a performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity. This position is expected to close on 8/19/24.

The company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120%, or 130% of salary in certain areas.
